Personal Semiology – Abstract Expressionism

“Personal Semiology – Abstract Expressionism on Paper,” explores the meaning of symbols, and in particular, the symbolism often used in art. In particular, in this work, the semaphores are abstract elements that evoke an emotional feeling, with most people a similar emotional response can be experienced. However, abstract art more than figurative art is subjective and to a very large extent produces a personal semiology. Painted in the style of abstract expressionism with impasto layers.

I like using acrylics as the colours blend so well together.

“Personal Semiology – Abstract Expressionism on Paper,” is UNFRAMED and was painted on Hahnemühle Etching Paper 300gsm Warm White, with dimensions 78 × 110 × 0.3 cm (unframed). The frame is NOT included and is just for illustrative purposes.

In my paintings, I use the finest quality professional Liquitex acrylic paints, gallery canvas. The painting was sprayed with a glaze of varnish.

A Certificate of Authenticity with hologram verification is attached to the image.

SHIPPING

Shipping costs for this work internationally can be prohibitively expensive and so the canvas is taken off the stretchers and rolled up and shipped in a tube. This provides reduced shipping rates, avoiding heavy shipping costs. However, the buyer would need to have the canvases remounted. This is always cheaper than paying excessive shipping fees on an artwork. However, bear in mind that all customs duty and related fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
