Light Art Project

The Light Art Project [LED Panel & Plexiglass Artwork] has completed stage 1, which is the release of three different panels being 122 cm x 122 cm, with the frame they are 125 cm x 125 cm. The artworks are interactive synthetic polymer acrylic paint on plexiglass.

The paintings are created on a sheet of Plexiglass, which is mounted on another translucent sheet of Plexiglass, and together they are mounted onto a strong LED panel. Sometimes, the unit has another transparent sheet of Plexiglass on top to protect the painting. Then the sheets and panel are placed on a board for strength and framed in a solid wooden frame. It is not a floating frame; the Light would leak from the sides. The painting has strong mounting attachments at the back of the painting. The whole painting is around 16-18 kg and needs professional mounting. The entire painting is quite elaborate and took a considerable time to create, hence the cost. The artwork and the frame are 125 cm x 125 cm x 7 cm. However, painting on Plexiglass is a very different medium than traditional painting, so special interactive synthetic polymer paint is used together with resin. The style of the artwork is abstract expressionism.

There are three panels in this stage and they are released exclusively through Bluethumb.com.au.

These panels are pure white, and there is no remote control. If you would like a colour panel, which is not shown in the photos or video but can be ordered instead of the white panel, that is possible. This would make the painting look very different depending on the colour chosen and provide quite an array of options. A remote control can also be provided if so desired. Both of these features are upgrades and relatively inexpensive. Please get in touch with me regarding such upgrades.
